White House on U.S. & Iran Ceasefire

The ceasefire and June 2026 memorandum of understanding between the U.S. and Iran completely collapsed in early July 2026 following Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) attacks on commercial tankers in the Strait of Hormuz. President Donald Trump declared the truce over on July 7, 2026, leading the U.S. Navy to reinstate its strict blockade on Iranian ports and resume major airstrikes.
